Bachelor academic studies (1st degree) at the Faculty of International Politics and Security, University "Union - Nikola Tesla" in Belgrade have 240 ESPB points. A person who has completed a four-year secondary education and passed the entrance exam in general culture and information can be enrolled in the study program of bachelor academic studies.
Bachelor academic studies take place over eight semesters (four years). The study program of bachelor academic studies is a set of compulsory and optional subjects with a framework content: academic-general education subjects (10 in total), theoretical-methodological subjects (7), scientific-professional subjects (13) and professional-applied subjects (14), mastering which provide the necessary knowledge and skills in two complementary areas - international politics and security.
The OAS International Politics and Security study program is defined in accordance with the Law on Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia and the Bologna Declaration and is designed to provide an adequate basis for future work in significant public and private sectors. In the first phase, which represents the basis for understanding social sciences, the study program includes fundamental theoretical subjects such as philosophy, sociology, introduction to political sciences, etc. In addition, students acquire basic practical knowledge and skills through numerous extracurricular activities and practice. After that, the student becomes familiar with the basics of complex social and geopolitical processes, security challenges, risks and threats through scientific and professional subjects.
The OAS International Politics and Security study program lasts four years (divided into 8 semesters) and is worth 240 ESPB points (4x60 ESPB), has a total of 44 subjects, of which 28 are compulsory subjects and 16 are optional (8 elective blocks). Each elective block contains two subjects. According to the schedule, there are 8 subjects in the first year (of which Elective subject 1: English language 1 and Russian language 1), in the second year 8 subjects, in the third year 8 and in the fourth year 11 (Elective block 5: Geopolitics and Balkan relations; Elective block 6: Security System of the Republic of Serbia and Corporate Security); Elective block 7 (EU-Policy and Security and Contemporary Security Challenges and Threats) including professional practice, research paper and final paper.
