Doctoral study program Economics  (DAS Economy)  is the completion of the economic education vertical. The program is modeled on relevant doctoral programs in Europe.DAS Economy  aims to educate personnel for independent research work, enables doctoral students to build on previously acquired knowledge and master the methodology of scientific research work in the field they choose through the subjects and topic of the doctoral dissertation.

Scientific research and technological development of the state is connected with research activities in the public and private sector.DAS Economy  develops their interdependence, which is one of the prerequisites for the propulsive development of the economy. National strategic development priorities should be based on competitive scientific research and the creation of conditions for the development of a knowledge-based society, which requires a complex connection of professional knowledge with modern scientific knowledge.

DAS Economy  includes advanced knowledge of economics, individual economic areas, economic sectors and groups, as well as advanced quantitative-statistical methods, which together will enable the application of the methodology of economic and entrepreneurial thought in the complex analysis of modern problems in the economy and society and finding innovative solutions to overcome them.

Purpose of the study program:  The purpose  DAS Economy  is a contribution to the development of economic science and the education of personnel who will be able to critically evaluate research work, independently conduct original and scientifically relevant research and, as future doctors of economic sciences, provide a quality contribution to the general development of society.

The purpose  DAS Economy  is the training of students to master the methodology of scientific and research work through cooperation with teachers on each subject of study individually. Through all phases of scientific and research work, students, based on consultations with subject teachers and mentors, apply adequate methodology in the field of economic sciences, where they are trained to use modern methods and models, econometric analyzes and the use of other scientific and research techniques (surveys, surveys and other research, statistical data processing, etc.).

Special contribution  DAS Economy  is to support the development of students' critical thinking, so that, through deepening and enriching their overall theoretical, methodological and applied knowledge, they become capable of critical evaluation of scientific research, and for critical complementary use of scientific knowledge and instruments in the processes of scientifically argued and practically valid research.

Using various resources for learning and managing information, students are trained to independently and self-critically perform research tasks. The purpose  DAS Economy  is to contribute to the overall economic and social prosperity of the country through the creation of scientific and research youth.

With the ending  DAS Economy  the necessary knowledge and skills for independent scientific and research work are acquired, and the study program provides participants with deeper theoretical knowledge of economic development, connection with other scientific fields, critical thinking and judgment, as well as the ability to define relevant research problems. Also, students are provided with the use of the most modern research methods, tools and procedures.

The purpose  DAS Economy  is aligned with the mission and goals of the University, as well as with the goals of higher education in accordance with the Law on Higher Education.
