Guest lecture

Our distinguished guest, Alessandra Capuano, is engaged in teaching and research as a professor and head within the Department of Architecture and Design at Sapienza University of Rome, where she leads the laboratory “Babele. Città, Architettura, Natura.” She works in the fields of urban and landscape design and contemporary architecture, with a particular focus on Rome and Italian architecture, starting from the premise that urban open spaces are becoming essential for establishing diverse forms of human health and existence.She coordinates the major university research project “ARCHAEOGRAB,” dedicated to sustainable mobility and the enhancement of the archaeological and natural heritage of Rome’s peripheral areas. Since 2019, she has been responsible for research activities conducted for the Colosseum Archaeological Park.Within the framework of a bilateral agreement with the UNESCO Chair on Environment and Landscape at the University of Montreal, she has been participating in international research workshops worldwide since 2003. She has curated exhibitions and taken part in numerous international conferences and debates on architecture.

Therefore, her presence, expertise, and research scope are of key interest to Union Nikola Tesla University, with the mutual aim of diversifying academic research and teaching processes.
