Doctoral academic studies at the Faculty of International Politics and Security, University "Union - Nikola Tesla" in Belgrade have 180 ESPB points. A person who has completed the basic and master's studies of related and relevant higher education institutions in a four-year duration, having achieved an appropriate average grade (at least 8.00) and a volume of 300 ESPB points, can enroll in the study program of doctoral academic studies. The study program of doctoral studies can provide that a part of master's studies acquired under earlier laws and regulations will be recognized as a corresponding part of the doctoral study program.

Doctoral academic studies take place during six semesters (three years). The entire study program consists of a total of 14 subjects. Of these, 10 subjects are compulsory and the rest are chosen from the list of elective subjects - Elective Subject 1 (Contemporary Democracies and Polemology and Irinology); Elective subject 2 (choose two out of four - Modern history of Europe, Contemporary aspects of international security, Culture of peace and theories of conflict, Political violence in global society); Elective subject 3 (Geopolitics and the Modern State). The study program also includes a study-research paper (SIR), which aims to enable students to prepare the final dissertation, and it carries 10 ESPB points. The final paper, i.e. the dissertation, which includes both the theoretical foundations and the defense, has 20 ECTS. The total number of ESPB that is realized in doctoral studies during three years is 180.

The study program DAS International Politics and Security is defined in accordance with the Law on Higher Education of the Republic of Serbia and the Bologna Declaration and is designed to provide an adequate complement of knowledge and skills for future work in significant public and private sectors. Students expand the subject of complex social and geopolitical processes, security challenges, risks and threats through scientific-professional and professional-applied courses.

The DAS International Politics and Security study program lasts three years (divided into 6 semesters) and is worth 180 ESPB points, has a total of 14 subjects, of which 10 are compulsory subjects and 4 are optional (3 elective blocks).
