A new Wastewater Treatment Laboratory was established at the Faculty of Ecology and Environmental Protection

The modern Laboratory for biological treatment of wastewater was established at the Faculty of Ecology and Environmental Protection of the University "Union-Nikola Tesla" in Belgrade. It is intended for students of basic, master's and doctoral studies with the aim of mastering theoretical knowledge and practical skills with the use of the most modern methods and instrumentation (in the pictures below) for biological treatment of waste water. In addition, the Laboratory will enable high-quality scientific research work and the publication of scientific works in top international scientific journals, as well as their application in practice.

Prof. works in the Laboratory. Dr. Vesna Mišković-Stanković, visiting professor in Italy, USA, Canada, China and South Korea, winner of numerous awards for innovation, which is on the list  Stanford University Top 2% scientists in the world and AD Scientific Index World Scientist and University Ranking 2023.

From September 1, prof. will also work in the Laboratory. Dr. Nevenka Rajić, prominent scientist in the world in the field of environmental chemistry, who is on the list Stanford University Top 2% scientists in the world and out. prof. Dr. Mina Popović, who received her doctorate in Italy with expertise in the field of probiotic cell encapsulation.

The modernly equipped Laboratory with a team of experts is therefore an excellent choice for students whose interests are directed, among other things, to chemistry, biology, environmental protection and biomaterials.
